Hello! I'm Tom McAndrew, and I love to write cosy crime mysteries. I grew up in a little village right on the edge of the West Coast of Ireland—next stop, America!
The area forms part of the famous Wild Atlantic Way: the world's longest defined coastal touring routes. It was such a beautiful and inspirational place to grow up in. I've included some photos I took of the area below but they don' really do its beauty justice. I now live in Dublin with my wife and our two children.
I've written a whodunnit that I hope you'll find intriguing and funny, featuring a scruffy, oddball detective named Doocey, who starts losing his sight just as he’s assigned his first big case. Talk about bad timing!
My debut cozy mystery, Doocey Half-Sees Whodunnit, was published on May 12th by American publisher Camel Press as part of a three-book deal.
My favourite books—probably no surprise—are cosy mysteries, especially those with a humorous twist. The subject of "sight" has always fascinated me, and having faced my own fair share of sight challenges, I feel it is a subject I can write about authentically.
Besides writing, I love creating art—I studied art at the National College of Art and Design in Ireland.
Thank you for visiting my website. I hope you’ll consider buying my book, and if you enjoy it, please leave a review on Amazon or wherever you purchased it.
Kind regards,
T⊙M Mc̲̲ANDREW
